Public Access Points in Bristol

As part of their IT in the Community initiative, Bristol City Council is provides Public Access Points at numerous locations throughout the city.

These Public Access Points (TouchScreen multi-media kiosks and multi-media PCs) give access to the City Council's website and selected other sites within Digital Bristol. Public Access Points in the libraries provide wider access to the World Wide Web.

Developing local content for local people is an important part of the project and significant progress has already been made at several of the community-based Public Access Points. The City Council is keen to work with other government agencies to enable public access to a wide range of electronic content.
